This is something we do for therapy on my husband's side of the family: write things out in Haiku. It's a very simple form of poetry, three lines, the first has 5 syllables, the second has 7 and the last has 5. It doesn't have to rhyme. Traditionally Haiku is written about nature, but writing one about your sister-in-law's annoying bassett hounds works also (and sometimes is a lot funnier!)

The Summer heat in the South

Posted By ashleycakes on Jun 30, 2007 at 3:31PM

This is dedicated to summer in the south. Where it's not just hot, it's hot AND wet! It has seriously been over 90 degrees every day this week. Please share if you are in the same predicament as me.

Why is it so hot?
This can't be healthy for me.
I'm gonna melt soon.
